This is Deathconsciousness by Have a Nice Life. You've probably heard of people talk about him, or how cool a guy he is. C'mon, man, don't be shy. Shake his hand. There we go. Anyway, Deathconsciousness is being re-pressed on vinyl soon, but he won't be floating round here for long since there's only five-hundred copies of him. What's that, buddy? Half of them have gone already? Damn shame, I wanted you two to get more acquainted. You'd better make the best of what little time together you guys have. He can seem a little weird at first, but really, he's a nice guy.
I never really understood Have a Nice Life's Deathconsciousness, or all the praise it received. Maybe they're one of those bands you have to see live, or listen in a different medium to truly appreciate. However, I always found this record strangely compelling. It feels like a challenge to understand as you try to understand the strange mix of shoegaze influences and electronic instrumentation.
So yeah, this is an awkwardly roundabout way of saying that Deathconsciousness is being re-pressed on vinyl. Copies are going fast, so you'd better go get yours quickly.
Maybe after I get mine, I'll truly understand this album.
